4. Identify Potential Occupations
Keeping in mind:

  • your interests and abilities,
  • your RIASEC code,
  • the 2-4 career clusters you have chosen,
  • what you expect in a career or occupation, and
  • your situation with respect to additional education.

Look at a table of sample occupations.  Choose up to 10 occupations in your chosen career clusters that reflect your interests and goals.

You can find this information in your state Career Information Delivery System (identified under State & National Tools), the U.S. Department of Labor's O*NET, and the Occupational Outlook Handbook.
