The New Jersey Department of Labor has created a series of videos showing real people in real careers, and discussing the skills and education needed to enter those careers. The videos are grouped by 16 broad industry areas, and further broken down by occupation within each industry. Or, you can see the videos by summary groupings (e.g., apprenticeship, 2-year degree, nontraditional, etc.).
The videos are available in two places: (1) New Jersey Department of Labor, Center for Occupational Employment Information; and (2) the America's Career InfoNet Web site. At the New Jersey Web site, you can download the videos in several formats for later viewing. At the America's Career InfoNet Web site, you can view the videos online using RealPlayer.
