Title: Public High School Graduation and College Readiness Rates in the United States
Date: 2003
Publisher:
Manhattan Institute for Policy Research
Description:
Manhattan Institute researchers looked at the number of students who leave high school ready to attend college based on: (1) whether they graduated; (2) what courses they took; and (3) their basic literacy levels. They found that only 32% of all students leave high school prepared for college. The numbers are also broken out by racial/ethnic group, region and state.
