Title: Engagement by Design
Date: 2004
Community College Survey of Student Engagement
Because community college students often have family and job obligations in addition to school, they are more susceptible to dropping out. To keep these students engaged, community colleges need to develop comprehensive strategies that rope students in from the moment of enrollment. This report describes strategies that work, with examples from schools that are using them successfully. It also talks about how community colleges can improve student retention through effective data collection and analysis.
