• Career development writing teams wrote lesson plans and integrated modules to implement the pre-K through postsecondary/adult career development framework. Teams included participants from the Divisions of Instruction, Special Education, Career and Technology, Student and School Services and local school systems to ensure alignment with State Standards and the Voluntary State Curriculum. A postsecondary/adult workforce development sub-committee was formed to develop integrated, standards-based modules consisting of Maryland’s career development standards and Equipped For the Future content standards of the National Institute for Literacy.
• The Student and Assessment Services branch of the Career Technology Division collects, analyzes and reports outcome data on career and technology education programs. Data are analyzed so students can make informed enrollment decisions and local school systems and community colleges can continuously improve their programs.
